Rakib Azad Joins as CovQ CFO Fellow

Bringing experience in technology, operations, and financial leadership to the CovQ Center for Intelligence, Strategy, and Execution (CISE).

CovQ welcomes Rakib Azad as a CFO Fellow, contributing to its Center for Intelligence, Strategy, and Execution (CISE). This is an advisory role that will be focused on thought leadership contributions.

Rakib most recently served as CFO of Alkira, helping lead its Series C financing, build an AI-first finance function, and support its acquisition by Lumen Technologies. Previously, he led the finance team at Chainalysis, supporting fundraises totaling $470 million. At MongoDB, he helped prepare the company for its Nasdaq IPO where he led global FP&A and strategic procurement.

“Rakib brings firsthand experience connecting financial leadership, technology, and growth from fundraising and an IPO to acquisitions. His perspective will strengthen CISE, led by Alex Clemente, former Founding Managing Director of Harvard Business Review Analytic Services. Together, we are bringing practical insights to leaders navigating strategy, execution, and value creation,” said Ralf Hirt, Founder and CEO of CovQ.

“I am passionate about finance playing a proactive role in shaping strategy and driving value creation, supported by AI and next-generation systems. CovQ sits at that intersection, making this fellowship an exciting opportunity to contribute practical insights and pragmatic advice to its ecosystem and clients,” said Rakib Azad, CovQ CFO Fellow.

The fellowship strengthens CISE’s growing network of expertise, bringing together technology, knowledge and practical experience to help leaders translate strategic ambition into measurable value.
